International Women’s Day 2022 – Break The Bias
As Position Mobile has learned from IWD official page, #BreakTheBias is International Women’s Day 2022 campaign theme.
IWD is celebrated annually on March 8, promoting and encouraging the empowerment of women and the gender equality. According to Telegraph , its roots can be traced to 1908, when 15,000 women marched through New York City demanding voting rights, better pay and shorter working hours. Although women have come a long way, there’s still a long way to go.
We can break the bias in our communities, in our workplaces and schools and create gender equal world, free of stereotypes and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive, where difference is valued and celebrated.
“Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day.’’

Women are currently under-represented in the tech industry. However, Position Mobile has learned that Deloitte Global predicts that large global technology firms will reach nearly 33% overall female representation in their workforces in 2022, up slightly more than 2 percentage points from 2019. A 2-percentage-point increase, though small, actually represents notable progress.
